San Antonio food news is happening as we speak, and it's my job to gather all the tastiest leads on the local dining scene. If you have a restaurant tip to share, feel free to send it to polly.rocha@mysa.com.

This week has been an eventful one for San Antonio's dining scene, as the Michelin Guide recognized several area restaurants at its first Texas ceremony on Monday, November 11. The same day of the awards ceremony, Jorge Cortez, a local icon with a storied restaurant legacy, passed away at age 81, leading to an outpouring of condolences from some of the city's biggest figures.

Outside of the major headlines, a lot is going on in the local food and drink scene, so let's get into everything you might have missed in San Antonio's food news this week.
